Florida-based Summit, a regional provider of workers’ compensation insurance services, announced the expansion of its coverage into Illinois.
Summit-managed carriers, Bridgefield Casualty Insurance Co., Bridgefield Employers Insurance and Bridgefield Indemnity Insurance, have received regulatory approval from the Illinois Department of Insurance to begin offering workers’ compensation coverage in the state. Each carrier is rated A+ (Superior) by A.M. Best Company.
Summit, with headquarters in Lakeland, Florida, provides workers’ compensation services to businesses in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. Summit is part of Great American Insurance Group, based in Cincinnati.
