Kansas Insurance Commissioner Vicki Schmidt and Kansas Department of Insurance staff will be on-site Tuesday, June 10 in El Dorado to assist Kansans affected by widespread flooding in Butler County, the department said.
KDI staff will assist with insurance claims questions, concerns and complaints. Staff attendance is part of the Butler County Multi-Agency Resource Center coordinated by the American Red Cross.
Butler County, located northeast of Wichita, experienced heavy flooding last week as the result of heavy rainfall. The flooding resulted in damage and property loss.
KDI staff staff will be at El Dorado Community Building, 200 N. Griffith St. from 2:00pm to 8:00pm.
