The AMS Users Groups meet with company and vender partners to discuss the future of technology and how to work together. Last week, the ACORD-User Groups Information Exchange (AUGIE) held the first meeting in conjunction with the AMS Users Group annual national conference in Nashville, Tenn.
ACORD President and CEO Gregory A. Maciag explained that AUGIE’s purpose is to gather information, share ideas and play an active role in setting an agenda for the groups to work together. Maciag added that the group will partner with ACORD and its members, including insurers, vendors and associations, to shape the future of e-commerce for the insurance industry.
Bev Coats, AMS Users Group president, expressed her pleasure over AMS Users Group opportunity to host the first AUGIE meeting. Future meetings of AUGIE are scheduled next month at ACORD Technology Conference at the Ebix Users Association conference in June and at the ASCnet annual meeting in October.
