Insurity, a ChoicePoint® company, introduced a browser interface for Commercial Intellisys (SM), its rating and policy-issuance product. The interface enhances the functionality of Commercial Intellisys, while enabling users to extend its processing capabilities from the desktop to the Internet.
“This interface enables our Commercial Intellisys customers to realize processing efficiencies and cost-savings because it can run from almost any workstation, including 386 PCs, and via any network connection, including dial-ups,” stated Jeffery Glazer, Insurity’s executive vice president. “Software, hardware, or communication lines don’t need upgrading. Consequently, transactions can be conducted with documents and transmitted to agents and field offices quickly, easily, and with minimal investment.”
In addition to lower system overhead, the new interface also provides reduced maintenance requirements and enhanced user-control. Insurers have the option of extending the interface to producers, with varying degrees of functionality, including pre-screening and pre-underwriting tools; tailored underwriting by line of business, state, producer, and/or exposure type; account clearance; submission tracking; verification; scoring; real time quoting; integration with agency management systems; and 24/7 online customer service.
