RiskProNet International Elects New Officers

Rick Kekula, executive vice president of Mortenson, Matzelle & Meldum Inc., has been elected 2005 president of RiskProNet International, a network of 28 leading independent insurance brokers throughout the United States and Canada.

New president-elect is Scott Drew, vice president and broker of Associated Financial Group, dba CFG Insurance Services, in Minnetonka, Minn. New vice-president is Frank Krisanits, AAI, chief operating officer of Diversified Risk Insurance Brokers in Emeryville, Calif.

New directors are Cottrell Fox, executive vice president of J. W. Terrill, Inc. in Chesterfield, Mo., and Ed Williamson, senior vice president of Reynolds & Reynolds Inc. in Des Moines.

As executive vice president at M3, Kekula is responsible for long-range planning and mergers and acquisitions. His responsibilities also include growth initiatives and strategic partnerships for the agency. In addition, he manages the new business development team, working closely with sales management on client cross-selling and retention.

He joined M3 in 1985 to start the property and casualty division.

Kekula succeeds Robert W. Lampus, senior vice president and general counsel for Dawson Insurance Inc., in Cleveland, Ohio, whose term expires at the end of 2004.

Drew specializes in commercial insurance programs, and has extensive experience working with contractors. Prior to joining CFG in 1992, he was president of The Drew Agency Inc., in St. Paul, Minn.

Krisanits has worked in insurance for more than 25 years. He joined Diversified Risk, a founding member of RiskProNet, in 1985 as director of marketing and was named chief operating officer in 2001.

Prior to joining Diversified, he was with the Chubb Group in various underwriting and management positions.
