Don’t kid yourself. The market is going to the lowest price, which means the most efficient way to deliver service. The Web is where sales growth is occurring. It can either happen with company Web sites or producer Web sites. It’ll happen, and it’ll drive prices down.

are you sure there isn’t another article you can do on AIG or Greenberg? maybe IJ can do a follow-up on that blue vs. red insurance companies thing that got everybody riled up. Maybe Spitzer’s cats had kittens? I need something here! I’m on my lunch break and since IJ is the only site my employer lets us read, I need some interesting user comments to read. So please, please IJ write something to irk some republicans so I have something to read while I eat my veggie sub.

    Thanks.

When did computers become licensed insurance agents?

I suppose rates will drop if you no longer need a licensed agent to sell the policy.

This seems a real threat to me. Anybody else see it differently?

have Farmers Insurance for your Auto/Car between 1996-2006? This class action settlement will provide cash payments to people who were insured by Farmers (or one of Farmers Insurance affiliates), had an accident, and had insurance claims adjusted based on certain categories of these parts, known as “non-OEM crash parts,” between June 15, 1996 and November 1, 2006. “Non-OEM crash parts” are generally the sheet metal exterior of your car or truck, such as hoods and fenders, that were not made by, or for, the vehicle’s original maker. That is, they are parts that were not made by or for companies like Ford, GM or Toyota. If you\’re not sure whether you qualify for a cash payment, it is strongly encourage you to fill out the claim form. Claim forms must be postmarked by June 1, 2007 For more information see Farmers Insurance Auto Settlement Information or call 1-877-576-9983.
