G&S Insurance, Inc., which does business as Discount Shipping Insurance Agency, has acquired Harper Reed Corp. also known as PSI Insurance effective Jan. 1, 2007.
Harper Reed has provided an alternate to insuring shipments with the major shipping carriers since 1986. Under its PSI Insurance brand, this coverage was focused on the mail and parcel center industry.
Discount Shipping Insurance (DSI) is a third party shipping insurance agency that offers all-risk coverage for parcels and large freight in transit. With the close of the transaction, DSI will offer its broad shipping insurance product to Harper Reed’s covered clientele.
G&S Insurance, Inc.is a privately held corporation based in Los Angeles.
