“Let’s wake up people and stop sending (and resending) people to DC who have not a clue.” I read that comment and thought about how most voters are talking about the politician in the next district or the other state, but never their man. Why else do we return 95% of the incumbents back to DC?
Maybe Barney Frank used the money to operate a counterfeit jeans racket out of his carhole. No, wait that’s crazy talk. Maybe he used it to run a homosexual prostitution ring out of his NY apartment. Wait, wait, he already did that. Maybe…just maybe, the people of New York should replace Mr. Frank.
I believe Barney Frank is from Mass and that comments should pertain to the issue.
I just don’t understand why they want to add additional coverage (wind)when they can not do one item correct.
Also do they know that Flood coverage does not respond the way a Homeowners policy does and by adding wind coverage would jepordize potential coverage. The only way would be to totaly amend the flood policy and letting our representatives do this is like having the wolf watch the sheep.
Hey Scott, Barney Frank is from MA not NY….may want to check your facts before you post.
Oh wait, no one ever checks info before posting to this site…silly me!
$18 billion here, $750 billion there … before too long you are talking serious money! The government is involved in too many things, none of which it does particularly well. Let’s wake up people and stop sending (and resending) people to DC who have not a clue.
Dont you read the newspaper, watch the news, Barney got busted, disgusted, and cant be trusted – You Check your facts, oh wait, no one does that around here!
I was referring to the comment that the people of NY should replace Mr. Frank. They can’t since he is sent to DC by the people in the lovely state of MA
It should be obvious to any serious, objective, observer, that the only way to end the NFIP mess, deficit, and multiple millions spent on flood or wind coverage litigation costs is to add flood coverage to the basic property policy forms – Dwelling, Homeowners at least – and perhaps commercial as well. Certainly the industry should be capable of pricing that coverage based on risk or exposure. The data is available.
The NFIP exists because the private insurance sector wants no part of it. It exists so that development can continue in places where homes and businesses shouldn’t exist.
Without NFIP, there would not be 10 bedroom beach “cottages” from Florida to New Jersey, along the Florida panhandle, along the Gulf coast, beside rivers, lakes, streams, etc. because no one would lend money on them.
This is another subsidy for the wealthy who so abhor big government.

Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, etc…
Check their pockets!
