Scott Brock has been appointed as CEO of Goss Reinsurance Brokers Inc., the reinsurance brokerage division of U.S. Risk Insurance Group Inc.
Brock will work with Chris Turner, president of Goss Re, to provide highly focused, personalized reinsurance program and capital market solutions to specialty insurance carriers, captives, risk retention groups and other specialty insurance operations.
Brock spent his entire career in the reinsurance and insurance industry and most recently served as a founding partner of Tobat Capital, a specialized private equity group focused exclusively on the financial services industry. Prior to starting Tobat Capital, he was a senior executive at EW Blanch Co., a publically traded reinsurance and insurance broker.
He will be based out Goss Re’s headquarters in Dallas, Texas.
Goss Re also announced that Alexander (Alex) J. Fox has joined the company as senior broker and vice president.
Fox has spent much of his career producing, placing, and servicing reinsurance programs as well as providing analytical expertise to specialty insurance writers. He has worked with insurance companies, captives, risk retention groups and other risk financing entities and has extensive experience in professional liability programs. Fox also worked as an equity analyst covering the insurance industry and has been a frequent speaker on the subject of reinsurance as well as an author and source for major industry publications.
