Starr Aviation Agency, Inc., a member of Starr Cos., has developed a Small Business Unit within their Workers’ Compensation division.
The focus of the Workers’ Compensation Small Business Unit is to provide an alternative to the limited number of options for aviation workers’ compensation accounts. The Small Business Unit offers guaranteed cost policies from the Chubb Group of Insurance Cos. through a team of aviation workers’ compensation underwriters. The target accounts include small airports, charter operations, fixed based operators, agricultural operations and industrial aid. The minimum premium threshold is $2,500 for accounts that have supporting aviation lines placed with Starr Aviation and $5,000 for mono-line accounts.
Claims management will be handled by Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc., a large property and casualty third party administrator, providing risk management solutions specific to the aviation industry that highlight their experience, expertise, and specialized systems. These services include cost containment solutions and medical expense management.
