American Safety Insurance has upgraded its contractors pollution liability package for artisan, trade and general contractors with new forms.
The company designed the new forms to be more clear and concise, in addition to adding enhancements. The package now includes emergency response expense for voluntary payments conditions. ASI will also now offer worldwide coverage for short periods limited to suits brought in the United States.
The new forms also include some traditionally tricky coverages such as asbestos and lead abatement, as well as mold on an occurrence basis.
The company’s definition of cleanup costs will include repair or replacement of property damaged during cleanup.
“American Safety is the longest, continuous market to serve the Environmental space,” said Preston Starr, vice president of Environmental Underwriting at ASI. “I am absolutely certain that our new CPL coverage, in particular, will provide value to our brokers and insureds.”
Limits up to $11 million are available. Minimum premiums start at $2,500. The minimum retention is $2,500. Project-specific policies are available. The Atlanta, Ga.-based carrier offers both admitted and nonadmitted coverage.
