    If a closely held corp, or a non-profit opt out, they should see their insurance premium rise. By not offering the coverage, they will experience more child births, which are expensive. If Uncle Sam, or the Insurance Company is going to foot the bill, and provide the coverage to the EE’s, then why should US tax payers, or US Insurance customers foot the bill.

    Either way you look at it someone is taking it in the pants… except for the Non-Profit, or closely held corp.

      In reality, their insurance premiums won’t rise, because the employee will still obtain contraceptives. The only change? WE will be paying for it and the closely-held corp will get the benefit of lower premiums. This sucks.

        Hi Libby, I agree that their premiums won’t rise… That said, I still think they should.

        “Religious objections” to providing contraceptives should = accepting the risks of not providing contraceptives. Why is it that a Non-Profit, or Closely held corp can transfer their costs due to “religious objections.” If they object, then perhaps US Citizens can chose to object to their Tax Exempt status.

        knowall, Not sure about Medicaid since it doesn’t pay much, but Medicare definitely doesn’t pay for birth control since women into their sixties and seventies don’t worry about that at all. It is the Obamacare bunch that thinks we should have birth control at all ages even if the woman is far beyond child bearing years. They also want it for young men in the plan. That is funny, isn’t it?

            My daughter is a Pharmacist at Wal-Mart’s. I told her that he was not going to get any of my front seat tickets to the tent revival last month if she continued to sell birth control. One day when I was sifting through her purse to see if she had any of her own pills, I stole her keys and broke into the Wal-Mart’s stock room and replaced all the birth control pills with mini Mentos candies. This big burly security guard shined his light in the room so I had to swallow the evidence. Now I cry all the time and feel bloated.

      Planet, per Ecclesiates 10:2, the heart of the wise inclines to the right, the heart of the fool to the left. How is that for a bible quotation?

      Jesus said separate the goats from the sheep. Goats to the left, sheep to the right. He told the disciples who had been fishing all night from the left side of the boat and they had caught not one fish to throw their nets over the right side and their nets were overflowing. This should be a message to you, but it will not register, I am sure of that.

            That doesn’t even make sense! “Hobby Lobby is not an establishment of religion.” “Establishment of religion” means Congress shall not force people to obey or follow any particular religion – they can’t ESTABLISH that the “national religion” is Christianity or Buddhism or Hinduism or Judaism or whatever. It doesn’t mean “a business establishment” as in “a place of business,” it means “to establish” as in “to bring something about.” It’s a verb, not a noun! That’s not “semantics,” that’s just correctly understanding the meaning of the word as it’s used in context! Goodness!

    Contraception is something that people should be paying for out of pocket. Insurance was never supposed to pay for every little thing, if car insurance was like this flat tires or windshield wipers would be covered and the price of those items would skyrocket. So government-sponsored forced abortions of a fully-formed, ACTUAL fetus are ok, but the prevention of the implantation of a few cells is wrong. Interesting. A zygote &/or an embryo is not an unborn child, either. It’s an unborn child when it can survive outside the womb.

          And I know all of you right-wing religious fanatic GUYS would like to stomp all over a woman’s right to choose, but the right to choose IS A RIGHT. Get over it.

            No, Bob, I haven’t seen a zygote and neither have you because it is a single cell formed as the result of the merging of an egg cell and a sperm cell. It’s a fertilized egg, with the potential to develop into an embryo.

            An embryo is an organism in the early stages of development which cannot survive on its own. Between the embryo stage and birth, it is a fetus.

            I think you are confusing zygote and embryo with fetus.

It is disgusting to say the least.

      FAA, Obama is not worried about birth control, he is worried about providing basic medical coverage and services to all Americans, not just those who are fortunate enough to get it provided for them. It’s the GOP who wants to limit birth control and basic medical coverage.

As everyone knows, prayer works all the time unless Gawd decides you or your children should suffer needlessly, then he/she decides not to heal you.Then it’s Gawd’s will you know.You’re not disagreeing with Gawd are you?

      Hi Planet, boy that idiots on the far right surely is a stupid doofus isn’t he? It reminds me of this political cartoon I received when I was getting my oil changed on my Rascal Scooter named Skeeter. It was a bunch of people wearing sheets walking through a desert. All of a sudden a pick up truck with gun turrets drives by and stops. The driver of the pick up gets out and says, “Anyone know how I get to the rally?” The first guy takes off his hood, and says, “It’s over yonder, 15 miles from Old Man’s Farm.” The second guy says “No it a’int, it’s 12 miles from the Waltones’ Farm.” The moral of the story is there is no relevance to anything from the far right.

    I can’t even believe what has come of this site.

    Agent and Booger, stop with the moniker back and forth.

    Libby, stay consistent. I don’t know what has driven you off the rails lately but surely even you know you’re not making sense.

    Planet: The morning after pill stops a child from being born. Whether it’s a fetus or not, it end the start of a life. It’s a matter of semantics of which you speak, not a matter of “science”. Science says that the egg is on the path to become a baby. You’re stopping a baby from being born. End of story. Semantics and OPINION comes in after that as to whether or not that is killing. Not science. Your OPINION is that you aren’t. My opinion is you absolutely are. You’re a man of God too, which really makes no sense on that matter.

    As soon as a baby starts developing, in the absence of your intervention it would be born, and God did for a fact give that baby a soul.

    He doesn’t go, woah woah, take the soul back Jesus, don’t you get it, they didn’t want that baby!

    And don’t mock me or call me a religious zealot on that one. I’m talking in the perspective of your beliefs. If you believe in God, you believe God makes babies. Run with it. Stop with the dribble and typical bible bashing, people bashing, I’m so much better than other religious people crap.

      Exactly. It’s your opinion. And as long as it is not illegal, a woman’s right to choose is her RIGHT.

      I find it funny that it’s usually MEN that have a problem with this issue, when the number of deadbeat dads is outrageous. I guess it has something to do with your manhood and the fact that you were able to sire a child that makes you so engaged in the topic; when in fact it is out of your hands and none of your business. That must be the reason you’re so against birth control. You can’t CONTROL it. I’ll say it again, get over it.

        You are right Libby that a woman’s right is to choose birth control and abortion. However, an employer should have the right to choose the benefits offered under their health plan. If it doesn’t include what you think it should, you are “free” to seek other employment that does offer it.

        Did I even just take the argument against birth control or your “rights”?

        Have I ever said a woman shouldn’t be allowed to have birth control?

        It’s funny because I’ve really avoided it. I’ve told you to call it what it is, and I’ve told Planet to stop acting like his opinion is fact and stop insulting people saying they don’t know science when it isn’t a matter of science.

        I have also said that birth control being on insurance policies doesn’t make sense and to pay for it yourself.

        That last one in particular seems to spit in the face of your narrative that I’m against your “right”

        Also, murder isn’t a right.

        I will finally make commentary on this though I have avoided it.

        That baby is not yours. It is Gods. You didn’t choose to have it. God created to make it. As soon as it stirs in growth, it was stirred in growth by god. As soon as the growth ends, it was ended in growth by you.

        And that baby, which would have been born in the absence of your intervention, had it’s life ended. End of story.

        It is NOT your right, it is not YOUR child even after birth. It never will be. It never was. And I won’t hear your bull regarding it.

            In the absence of a God, which I started agnostic and still against abortion,

            A human embryo is a human embryo for what? A human baby. You can’t tell me any circumstance of stopping the development of a human embryo is not murder.

            You act like it’s magic solely for the religious folk, and then ignore science yourself.

            Also, God does exist. Get over it. I struggled myself with that for over 10 years. Pay attention, and then ponder how an evolving creature that duplicated as a human embryo does, ever got to that point. Trial and error? Even being the slightest off a human baby wouldn’t survive. The path to carbon becoming a carbon based life form, is simply impossible with evolution in the “in between” stages. Think it through some time. You’ll see what I mean. The feeding tube to a child for example, without it they would die. When did the feeding tube come into existence? When did a baby start to be developed without dying from the absence of one?

            It’s absolutely science.

            Also pay attention to the people out there who feel the need to insult religion. That’s one of the biggest reasons I believe. Debating as an agnostic.

        I just don’t care to. I didn’t even take up the argument right then about whether or not she should get birth control.

        I told Planet that he cannot claim that these religious folk are ignoring science. No form of science says that a fertilized egg is not going to become a baby. No scientist would seriously say that stopping that egg from growing is stopping the egg from becoming a life. Stopping life from coming into existence is what even science has to call this process of “abortion”. Aborting what? Aborting a baby, a life, a fetus, or an egg of human nature from growing.

        And that there is where semantics come in. It makes perfect sense to call the ending of a life murder. It makes sense in some odd way for Planet to not call it murder of a “baby” only in terms of semantics. But yet he calls the one who calls it murder “scientifically” inaccurate and suggests they go back to school.

        How can a Christian argue against their own people like that?

        The best biblical quote that Planet should look at, since he loves attacking his own people:

        “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” And He said, “I am Jesus whom you are persecuting,…”

        Attacking Christians in the name of Science, especially when it comes to aborting God’s children to be, is surely not a good thing.

        Planet is no Christian. He loves to attack and get on the band wagon.

You say what you just said because you have a “need” to destroy religion, despite it’s good affects. Does whether or not one eats pork matter in the bible? Or does judge not lest thee be judged and the moral principles?

            Do I pick and choose what I follow in the bible…What a laugh.

            There is a non-christian being a christian zealot. Basically you said “you can’t be christian unless you are a perfect christian!” (disregarding that you don’t even know the theology of the bible regarding pork. Go take classes on it. It is not “ignored” in hypocrite fashion. I don’t have time to explain it to you. Just know the Kashrut laws are not commandments. Eating un clean meats so to speak is not the same as breaking a commandment.

            I bet money you don’t even know the name of the laws you are talking about. You pulled out a bible and said “ah ha! See this one???” You didn’t study it. You didn’t look into why they exist. You didn’t look into how they were integrated, and what context, you knee jerk reaction said “oh my! Something to battle religion with!” (ergo why I said you are the reason I believe in God, Satan is why you do that. When you wise up you’ll realize that. I didn’t dumb down with my 156 IQ, I wised up.)

            It’s not my job to convert you.

            I wasn’t converted by some person talking to me.

            Things happened. All around me. Some were good. Some were bad. I didn’t necessarily choose to become Christian. It was…Put there for me.

            You might like this some day, when and if you have a life that pulls you to God.

            “Being a Christian is not the result of an ethical choice, or a lofty idea, but the encounter with an event, a person, which gives new horizon and a decisive direction”

    well, that’s it. I’m officially done with the comments section on the IJ. I used to come to this site with an open mind to hopefully get informed and try and see things a different way. Not anymore; this comments section has become Romper Room. It’s nothing but personal attacks, downvoting to hide comments, and hijacking of monikers. My 7- and 3- year olds play nicer than this.

    On some boards, you can’t post unless you’re a registered user and even then your comments are subject to moderation. Call it censorship if you want, but on a site for insurance PROFESSIONALS, there’s very little professionalism or civility for that matter.

    I do wish each and every one of you absolutely the best life has to offer and hope you all find what you’re looking for here, but I’m done with it.

    I personally think everything should be paid for by your health ins, your home insurance, your flood insurance and your auto insurance policies. That way the premiums can skyrocket and my commissions get bigger and bigger.

    I can then move into a larger home in a larger waterfront gated community and drive nicer cars. Thanks libtards! I really appreciate the raise.

    You see someone has to pay for what’s covered and that someone is the middleclass. When you libtards figure that out…and you wont because being stupid is like being dead…maybe things will change and the middleclass will once again get the pay raise it deserves.

      There are many, many items that could be stricken from the budget to pay for healthcare for our citizens. Instead we give welfare payments to giant corporations, bail out AIG and others, let the richest of the rich pay a fraction of what they should on their income tax, and send our military out to police the world. We just don’t have our priorities straight as a nation. We need to start taking care of our infrastucture and our citizens instead of catering to corporate lobbyists and passing bills full of pork.

        Someone has to pay for tax cuts?

        No. Someone has to pay for unreasonable spending, and buying bank loans so that the banks can lower interest rates. Quiz question: Are interest rates really low if tax spending is lowering them, which has to be taxed out of us?

        QE, Twist, etc.

        Someone has to pay when you tax the wealthy too much.

        You are too young to know this, but: The quality of life has gone WAY up since we lowered tax rates. Every single poor person I have ever known owns multiple hd tvs. Are you aware in the 60’s you were lucky to have one? Every poor person I know has a cell phone and high speed internet. Every poor person I have known owns consoles or video gaming of some degree. In the 70’s, before the tax cuts, video game consoles were a luxury.

        Every poor person I have ever known owns a computer. That one is self explanatory. Even in the 80’s a house hold computer was rare.

        Food recently went way up in cost on the other hand. This was Obama’s fault, and is a big strain on the poor.

        Housing costs are way up. This was from spending on Obama’s part to inflate the market. This is not from tax cuts.

        The cost of every luxury item is down since even 2000. If our income was equal, with the low cost to make goods, we would be fine, as long as Obama had let the housing costs come down and didn’t inflate the cost of food.

        Those two are the real problem.

        Not health insurance.

        The goal should be to lower the cost of living, not to tax and spend.

Until you can furnish a copyright for this name, you are fecking SOL. I’m sure Cliven is available and surely fits your personality better. At this point I think you are in the lowest percentile bracket in terms of IQ in Texico. This website pertains to insurance, not politics, and it sure as hell is not an extension of Sunday School. Libby, nothing hurts your feelings like Bob’s posts which consistently get your goat and you end up screaming at him on IJ. How do you like boogerthief’s post? He conveniently put his own slant on it. The epitome of low life. Enjoy!

            Bob doesn’t hurt my feelings. You’d have to care about someone to let them hurt your feelings.

            All I have to say to you, is this needs to be more civil. We can’t have people running around saying to care about what someone has to say you have to care about them. That’s basically very hate filled.

            Perhaps the following will stir some peace. I am sure you have heard it.

            People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
            Forgive them anyway.

            If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
            Be kind anyway.

            If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
            Succeed anyway.

            If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
            Be honest and frank anyway.

            What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
            Build anyway.

            If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
            Be happy anyway.

            The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
            Do good anyway.

            Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
            Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.

            You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;
            It was never between you and them anyway.”

            The day you speak civilly to me, I will do so to you. The day you stop bringing up mistakes I made years ago in an attempt to belittle me, I will act with more kindness. The day you stop insulting me and calling me names, I will do likewise. The day you stop calling me demonic and satanic because I don’t believe what you believe, I will start responding to you what you say. In other words, quit judging me and thinking you are better than me and we can have a reasonable conversation. In addition, I don’t always want a “debate.” Sometimes it’s OK to just speak your mind &/or an opinion. That’s what these forums are for.

            Agent and Bob are my favorite examples of conservatism. With Bob, we have religion guiding his vote in the form of anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage fervor. With Agent, it’s just good old fashioned racism in his hatred of all things Obama.

            Sorry to you both, the world is moving on and your positions are going to be causally tossed aside, without even a second thought. It will be slow, but in the end, Libby’s side will win this argument. Voters under 30 vote Democratic by a factor of 4 to 1. And the share of those voters that believe in God? All time lows heading lower.

            In fifteen years, universal healthcare, abortion and gay marriage will be ironclad legal rights in all 50 states. And the country will be stronger because of it.

            And it will happen in spite of you.

    Libby, if I ever had a daughter resembling you and your attitude and mean spirit, she would have been disowned a long time ago, cut out of the will and hopefully lived out of state where we wouldn’t have to see each other again. Thankfully, I have two wonderful daughters who are polar opposites of you and are as Conservative as I am. Have fun trolling. You deserve to be with booger and Planet since they are like minded trolls.

    Bob, just look for the nasty insults and a sexual inuendos on most posts and it is booger personified. He really has a hang up and is probably impotent or gay or both.

    Jack, the biggest mistake booger’s mother ever made was not aborting him when she had the chance after finding out she was pregnant. Perhaps he was dropped on his head when he was a baby and he has been deranged ever since.

    Hey Behemoth, I think it is unfair that I have to pay for over the counter Alieve’s for my back pain. Every plan should include that, right?

    Wow, look at all my comments. No WONDER I can’t get one anymore, I’m so stressed out!

    Hey Txmouth,
    I saw a good political cartoon tonight. It was St. Ronald Reagan on the top of a balcony with his zipper down and his pale, wrinkly 2 inch limper hanging taking a leak on top of a poor black family who sat homeless, cold and starving on the street below. St. Reagan was looking behind him toward the deck talking to the top Republican booze hounds of the day, and the up-and-comers like George H W Bush, and he was telling them as he laughed, “And then I said it would trickle down.” Oh, they were all busting a gut over that one! And hey, at least for a little bit Ol’ Ronnie’s warm golden shower would warm that family up for a bit. Am I right? Too bad Ronnie Raygun isn’t still around to piss on us all. At least we still have his economic plan to do that to us.

      That is a wonderful beautiful cartoon. Unfortunately for all of us, St Ronnie and his minions are still with us in spirit. The Niagara Falls of urine will be with us eternally with his Trickle Down Sodomy. I wonder who they next republicant actor will be to run for office. Was Clint Eastwood’s skit with a chair an indicator that he will be running in 2016? No we need to find a muscleman like Ahnold so imply we are strong. I sure love me Fred Thompson. He’s so broke he’s selling reverse mortgages on the talkin picture tube and even gives a shout out to St Ronnie. Here’s a beautiful clip to share.

      Let’s all pray about this.

    Stop Booger from Posting says:

    See what happens when you learn a new word but it’s actually the wrong word. I think this is from someone from Texico. Who can find bob’s mistake? We are taking caller number 5. All you would have to do is copy and paste anyone of Cliven’s posts and you would be able to get it right!

    “I am so sick and tired of Booger littering IJ with his sick, immature DRIBBLE. He has no intelligence whatsoever and cannot say anything that is meaningful. He must work in the mail room or better yet, cleaning the bathrooms. Booger you are a disgrace to Insurance Professionals and since you have Libby and Planet as your pathetic cheering squad, they are too!”

    Stick to the easy words!

      Actually, it is what occurs when you try to use slang to call a State Texico as an insult.

      Texico is two states, one used as a hate reference to Texico New Mexico, basically calling it a dirt town. Which in itself is really rude to Texico the city in New Mexico.

      Texico is sometimes also used as a slang to insult Texas for being the home state of company Texaco, which is homed in Texas.

      Texico is also a slang insult used in the West to mock Texas for being “pro” “CO” as in Corporation.

      The word is not new to me. Your use of it is not exactly clear.

      I’m assuming your use is the first. As I said before with the winky. However, I know you don’t like gas, so I’m also assuming you mean the second as well.

      I’m assuming you weren’t aware of the third.

        Texico is a slam to a colony that depends heavily on the United States to fund its “cowboy” lifestyle. It is a dirty region of North America, it is a region that is a fascist corporate owned territory. Countries like the United States, Canada, and England use “Common Law” as the law of the land. Texico uses their own version called WWDCD or “What Would Davey Crockett Do?

        bob, I personally want to thank you for your Captain Obvious references and hope the best for you in your future endeavors as the next spokesperson for hotels.com. Your analytical skills will not cut it the insurance world, especially regarding your analysis of poor people, home computers in the 80’s, smartphones, TV’s, etc. If you are willing to move to West, Texico, I think Cliven needs helps scooping up the rest of the fertilizer from that mishap at his insurancestry.

          bob refuses to recognize there is corporate welfare in this country or that military bases are a form of federal assistance. Be prepared for a long response from him outlying why these notions are falsehoods.

          I don’t read Bob The Bully and haven’t for maybe a year or better now, but after reading your post, I don’t have to. That is HILARIOUS! WWDCD – I am rolling. And then, hotels.com, 80’s home computers – man, give this guy a stage and a mic! You should educate Bob on how Texas = Middle East should you decide to engage his name calling.
