Yes, Obama care put them out of business. I used to sell Assurant when I was in the healthcare business. I saw the writing on the wall when this monstrosity was signed into law. I switched gears and got into property and casualty and kept the life insurance. Haven’t looked back since.
Yes Always, we had them as well in the Pre Obamacare years. We were never big in Health Insurance and Blue Cross was our go to market for most Individual and Group Accounts. It was a good thing we were heavy on P&C. I have a fellow agent buddy who was about 65% Health and he has been doing some suffering the past 5 years and has gone back to doing P&C primarily to stay in business.
