Confie Acquires Alabama, New York, Florida Brokers

National personal lines insurance broker Confie said it has acquired four insurance brokers with locations in Alabama, western New York and Florida.

Confie acquired TS Insurance Group which specializes in non-standard auto insurance, and operates five locations in Montgomery, Abbeville, Enterprise and Troy, Alabama. The addition of TS Insurance brings Confie’s total number of locations in Alabama to 29.

Confie continued its buildout in the greater Buffalo, New York area with the acquisitions of Schmitt & Kraft and Dunlap & Bajak, independent insurance agencies located in Williamsville. Both agencies were founded in 1970 and write standard personal lines. Confie has now acquired 15 Buffalo area agencies since 2012.

Confie also acquired All Florida Insurance Group in Green Acres, Florida (near West Palm Beach). All Florida Insurance specializes in non-standard auto insurance.

California-based Confie, formerly known as Confie Seguros, has acquired more than 97 businesses since its inception in 2008 and today reports having annual revenue of more than $470 million and more than 670 retail locations. Confie is a portfolio company of ABRY Partners, a Boston private equity firm.
