Philadelphia Insurance Companies (PHLY) has launched a new product for craft brewery & distilleries that offers a package policy and other product enhancements.
There’s been consistent growth in breweries year-over-year since the early 1990s, and according to Brewer’s Association, some 400-500 new breweries start-up each year.
“The craft brewery industry is thriving,” commented Michael McShane, product specialist at Philadelphia Insurance Companies. “Developing a craft brewery & distillery product recognizes this growth, and addresses the need for more specialized attention as the microbrewery insurance market is currently underdeveloped.”
PHLY’s customized coverages for breweries include property, general liability, product recall, contamination and adulteration, equipment breakdown, automobile, liquor liability, and more. For breweries and distilleries with tasting rooms, restaurants and special events, other lines of coverage can be purchased through PHLY.
Craft breweries and distilleries also have access to PHLY’s complimentary online defensive driver and other trainings, as well as discounted motor vehicle record (MVR) checks.
Philadelphia Insurance Companies designs, markets, and underwrites commercial property/casualty and professional liability insurance products incorporating value added coverages and services for select industries. Policies are underwritten by Philadelphia Indemnity Insurance Co., admitted in all US states and D.C., except Louisiana and Tokio Marine Specialty Insurance Co., a surplus lines insurer admitted in Delaware for surplus lines and authorized in all other U.S. states and D.C.
