Restaurant insurance program administrator ProHost USA has added employment practices liability insurance coverage as an option in its packaged insurance program specifically designed for restaurants.
According to Heidi Strommen, president of ProHost USA, the endorsement covers third‐party violations including actual or alleged discrimination or sexual harassment against customers or vendors.
The new ProHost EPL enhancement, available in most states, provides a complimentary legal advice line for policyholders. Through this service, an attorney will give general counsel on a range of employment issues including the legal implications of decisions or actions the employer is considering. Policyholders that purchase the coverage also have access to a website that provides resources for claim prevention such as a model employee handbook, best employment practices checklist and a library of employment related articles.
ProHost USA, Inc. is an insurance program administrator based in Minneapolis. For more than 25 years, ProHost has insured restaurants and related risks working with independent retail insurance agents across the country.
