QBE North America reported that Shruti Patel has joined the organization as chief human resources officer.
Patel replaces Hy Pomerance, who was recently appointed chief human resources officer, Emerging Markets, an operation of QBE Group.
Patel has 20 years of experience in human resources, including senior roles at American Express, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley. She joins QBE from AIG, where she most recently held the position of vice president, Human Resources, originally partnering with the company’s commercial business, and most recently, with the consumer business worldwide.
Based in New York City, Patel will serve as a member of the QBE NA Executive Management Board, reporting directly to David Duclos, president and chief executive officer, QBE North America. She will also serve as a member of QBE North America Leadership Team.
