So, now we not only have to worry about cell phone usage while driving, but also playing games while driving. My city is actually promoting this game by having a free acitivity downtown tonight. Crazy.
I think I know who the suspected murder suspect is. See if you can guess too. Here is a clip from the article.
“Police arrested the man, 39-year-old Jacob Kells, for child annoyance and found that he had an outstanding warrant for attempted murder in Sonoma County. Officials have not released the suspect’s name.”
I’m no reporter, but I think it might be Jacob Kells.
I actually spotted teenagers walking around outside on a beautiful day playing this game. Yes, they were glued to their phones, but at least they were outside! I think that I am going to try it myself.
I tried it and loved it. The app does warn you to be aware of your surroundings twice when you are opening it…like anything else, whether you choose to follow the warning or not is up to you. I do not use the live picture taking when in a building (my home or office) however it is fun to see these characters splashing in a fountain or flying in and out of tree branches. The visual technology is amazing. I may be nearing retirement age, but this game is not limited to millenials…try it before you scorn it!
I thought the game sounded silly, but ended up taking 4 of my younger grandkids “pokemoning” since they are too young to drive and we had fun at a couple of college campuses in our town and driving around our city. People of all ages were out walking, getting exercise and visiting with each other Sunday afternoon. There is the potential, for young people especially, to be stalked, robbed, etc., but if you are smart and watchful it can also be fun. I was surprised at the number of older people playing the game.

Baxter: I think you should just leave the reporting to the IJ professionals.
