Tokio Marine Management Inc. (TMM), a commercial property/casualty insurer for large- and middle-market companies and a U.S. subsidiary of Tokio Marine Holdings in Japan, is rebranding as Tokio Marine America (TMA).
The company says its new brand represents the “company’s strategic vision to expand the products and services that it has delivered to Japanese businesses in the U.S. for more than 100 years to include U.S. headquartered national and middle-market businesses.”
Tokio Marine was incorporated in the U.S. in 1879. In 1911, Tokio Marine (Japan) established its first U.S. branch to write ocean marine insurance in the U.S. In 1976, Tokio Marine Management Inc. was formed from that branch.
Tokio Marine America employs 400 employees in 11 cities across the United States.
Tokio Marine America (TMA) is the marketing name for Tokio Marine America Insurance Co., Trans Pacific Insurance Co. and TNUS Insurance Co.
