People don’t learn…Back when cruise control came out some idiot decided he could turn it on and then jump in the back seat. Naturally he crashed and was injured. He sued the car manufacturer and won. Now owners manuals have a warning that drivers must remain in the passenger seat. These automated vehicles are more complicated. Watch these lunatic lawmakers put so much regulation on these things it makes automated cars unaffordable just to protect people who are too stupid to have licenses.
“More complicated” is not what the public needs. The problem with the current AI technology is that it involves some level of human interaction and human’s are not infallible when it comes to driving. The knock on the AI vehicles is their inability to handle and account for driving situations caused by humans. Once a highway or maybe specific lanes on a highway are designated for AI vehicles only, then the technology my thrive.
