Philadelphia Launches Pool, Spa Contractors Program

Philadelphia Insurance Companies’ (PHLY) has launched a new Pool and Spa Contractors Program in response to increased demand for pool construction.

The PHLY comprehensive package product includes coverage for pool and spa contractors with a single carrier approach. Coverages offered include property, equipment breakdown, inland marine, crime, general liability, automobile, pollution, professional liability and more.

Demand for pool construction began increasing over the past five years as market conditions for residential construction rebounded, according to IBISWorld. Market analysts expect inground swimming pool construction to increase 9.3 percent year over year in 2018.

Brian Himmer, assistant vice president in the Sports and Recreation division at PHLY, said the specialized residential pool construction construction market fits well within the company’s specialized insurance product focus.

PHLY’s Pool and Spa Contractors Program also provides access to risk management services specifically designed for pool and spa contractors.
