Church Mutual Insurance Co. has launched CM Select Insurance Co. – an online insurer offering access to an insurance product specifically for smaller churches and other religious organizations. These organizations can obtain quotes, purchase policies and manage their insurance needs online.
CM Select, a wholly owned subsidiary of Church Mutual, is currently writing business owner policies (BOP) property and liability insurance for smaller churches and other religious organizations of all denominations in Michigan with plans to launch in Arkansas, Colorado, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin by year’s end. This growth is expected to continue through 2019. CM Select has earned a financial strength rating of A (Excellent) From A.M. Best.
According to Kurt Brandau, CM Select president, churches, especially smaller churches, tend to be strapped for time and are looking for convenient coverage that is unique to their specific needs.
“We’re proud to be the first insurer of faith-based organizations to provide an online purchasing experience, allowing them to spend more time focusing on their mission,” Brandau said.
Church Mutual Insurance Co. offers specialized insurance for religious organizations of all denominations, as well as schools, camps, denominational offices and senior living facilities.
