Program administrator NIF Group. announced a new Landscapers Package Insurance Program designed for members of the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP).
The program targets landscaping risks including landscape maintenance, lawn care service, hardscaping, and similar operations. Coverages including general liability, property, inland marine, crime, and commercial automobile are offered on an admitted basis.
The program is offered in all states.
NIF said the program was developed in conjunction with AXIS Insurance Co. and the NALP, as well as NIF broker partner Rancho Mesa Insurance Services. The policies will be underwritten by AXIS Insurance Co., an operating subsidiary of AXIS Capital Holdings Ltd.
NIF Group’s California division will be serving as the exclusive underwriter and program administrator for the program.
Non-NALP members can receive quotes that are contingent upon a heavily discounted first year of membership to the association.
David Daniels, president of NIF’s California division and underwriting office for the landscapers program offers industry specific form enhancements and a monthly reporting payment plan that fits landscapers’ seasonal nature.
“This program was developed to provide NALP membership a very competitive package insurance product while encouraging the professional landscape community to engage in NALP, its accreditation programs and the many other benefits the association has to offer,” said Jason DeSarle, vice president of Membership and Marketing at the NALP.
