If McDonald’s Corp. is responsible for the independent actions of the franchise owners, well then how about making each State responsible for not advising McDonald’s on the proper actions to avoid litigation? Or the Federal government for failing to warn McDonald’s Corporate this could happen?

Russia? Russia gets blamed for everything else already, so maybe suing Russia is the way to go. . .

How about not? Ignorance of the law is not an excuse. Or if you prefer Thomas Jefferson’s words over mine: “Ignorance of the law is no excuse in any country. If it were, the laws would lose their effect, because it can always be pretended.”

What a Clown Comment. What connection does the corporate office have to the actions of the franchise owners?

I guarantee you that the franchisees get TONS of directions on proper work place behavior, sexual harassment avoidance, etc. etc. etc. I have many clients with franchises of all sorts and workplace training is a BIG issue.

It would be like holding you responsible for client actions when the clients completely disregard your recommendations and then sue you. Fair? Of course not.

This is all Liberal Deep Pocket Lawyer thinking, stapled to Liberal Corporate Hate. The usual nonsense that reveals a complete lack of common sense or Principles for the left.

I was responding to your question about holding the State or Fed liable for not telling McDonald’s how to avoid litigation.

Now you’ve moved the goalposts asking about holding the parent corporation liable for the acts of their franchises. That is a totally different question and would result in a totally different answer.

          Stop moving the goalposts.

(Agent — this is EXACTLY why I copied & pasted the question before I replied … so it was clear what question I was actually answering.)

Yikes, Rosenblatt. You can’t be saying you believed my comments about suing the government were serious. Have some pride, dude!

There you go again. Extreme position statements with broad over generalized representation.

Mr. Cornell, you have been debating on this site for a while so I assume you should know better than to mix personality over principle. Your points on this are valid but PLEASE STOP the name calling. Sounds like another “clown” and he lives in a big white house now and I turn him off even when he says something worthwhile. I do the same with my grandkids.

Well, Mr. Hall Monitor, if you would like to be honest, I called Rosneblatt’s comment a “clown” comment. I didn’t call Rosenblatt a name.

And several times, Rosenblatt has called me a liar when I was NOT lying, so you might want to take your yard stick over to his side of the class room.
