    “Climate Crises!”

Are the seas rising at 6 inches per year? Per decade? Every 5 decades? No. We have plenty of time to adjust. And the “primarily hurts the poor” angle is pure B.S. Rich people in California live on the beach; in fact, almost no poor people live there.

    Next Insurance Journal article:
“The Climate Crises hates the rich!” (As if.)

Man, the Left can’t help themselves with the hysteria can they.

This comment is to Eric Roston. When you include sentences like, “This 30 year-trickle is nothing compared with the great climate exodus to come”, the article should be labeled as editorial. And making it about the poor and playing the race card is irresponsible journalism. There is real historical data showing trends in carbon in the atmosphere, temperature, and how much ice is melting. Decision makers in the insurance world are interested in the facts. You’re not helping. I clicked on your by-line to see what other articles you have written, and there’s a trend there, too. Is it your boss? Are you a Russian bot trying to discredit climate science? What’s the deal? You’re lobbing these softballs up to guys like Jack and Craig to knock out of the stadium.

Hector – the article points to exactly what “Global Warming” has always been about…..wealth redistribution.

I gotta hand it to the author and IJ. You took a legit story about the government essentially removing flood prone properties from the pool of risk (to lower everyone else’s risks and costs of the NFIP) and turned it into a super woke social justice tome involving “hurting the poor” and climate change. Bravo to one and all. If you keep it up you can soon surpass the NBA (National Beijing Association) in politically Marxist correctness.
