Completely missed the reasons for the increase in claims. The attorneys set up a system which is in no way fair to the engineers or other professionals. They make frivolous claims just for the purpose of collecting fees, and are in no way held responsible for unwarranted claims. They name everyone and money is just handed out. I understand that doctors have joined together to fund a war chest to countersue attorneys who name them on frivolous claims. They put the word out and are holding attorneys responsible. Shame it has to be this way, so why are we not changing the laws so that we are not guilty until proven innocent ?
