That’s because Herr Trump made sure it was called Small Business relief, but really he just wanted to give millions to his billionaire buddies. The sheep on the right will try to convince you it’s anything but corruption, but the evidence is plainly there.

This is what happens when something is thrown together so quickly. The public was in such a hurry for the Gov’t to introduce this relief package – the results were expected. The small business owner was too busy handling triage and didn’t have time to file for the PPP. Big companies have accountants and personal bankers to handle the details. Prediction – it won’t take long for the results of this package to turn into a “cluster” of lawsuits and finger-pointing. Regardless of political party, we’ve all begged our politicians to introduce legislation that addresses specific purposes, sticks to the problem at hand, and avoids adding pet projects and other non-related items. That’s how we do it in the private sector. Over 800 pages should have made us suspicious.

It makes me so mad that a company like the one I work for, which is a government contracted business with multiple locations throughout the USA was able to get some of the PPP but the local diner or family owned business by us didn’t even have a change. Sad to say I wasn’t surprised I just hope the second round is better managed because a lot of small business are going to be losing out because they don’t know how or want to play dirty with the system.

Remember when Mitch McConnell stood up and was so proud of the fact that republicans blocked some of the safeguards that the democrats wanted in this bill? Seems like all his cronies got money and the actual small businesses got nothing. If you are upset at this, look no further that the republicans who controlled this from start to finish.

There are few companies that have laid off people and terminated them and applied for paycheck protection program. Some of the companies are start up, I am not sure how the system will ensure that they should not get funds.

Do you realize you contradicted yourself in your article? You stated “The exemption allows for businesses in the industry to participate so long as they do not exceed 500 employees PER PHYSICAL LOCATION.

Than you went on to list companies like Shake Shack, Ruth Hospitality Co, Taco Cabana… I seriously doubt these restaurants have the capacity to even employ 500 employees per location.

Really? The article specificially claims they all have more than 500 employees. That’s not the whole corporation, YOU SAID it was per physical location.

    Which one is it????

Denise, the article doesn’t contradict. The companies listed have > 500 empl total, but < 500 per locations. The PPP allows you to file if you have <500 per location, therefore these businesses were able to file. I read articles that said Ruth Chris and Shake Shack gave back the $ under public pressure.
