Everest Insurance reports that Michael Karmilowicz has been named president and chief executive officer and Michael Mulray has been named the chief operating officer.
They assume these new positions immediately.
Karmilowicz joined Everest Insurance in July of 2015, and most recently served as executive vice president and president of North America P&C. Karmilowicz has nearly 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, having worked in management and underwriting positions at carriers including Zurich and The Hartford.
As president and CEO, he replaces Jonathan M. Zaffino who left the company in June to join Ascot Group.
Mulray joined Everest Insurance in May of 2015, as chief underwriting officer, a position he has held since that time. Prior to joining Everest, Mulray worked at General Electric Co., where he spent a decade in a variety of risk and insurance leadership positions. Mulray began his career in insurance over 20 years ago with Aon, serving in a both the U.S. and Bermuda markets.
Everest Insurance is a division of Bermuda-based Everest Re Group.
