National E&S Launches COVID-19 Cleaning GL, CPL Coverage

National E&S Insurance Brokers has launched COVID-19 cleaning coverage with an “A” rated carrier specifically designed for non-fire/water restoration contractors who wish to perform COVID-19 cleaning and prevention operations.

National E&S is the program manager underwriting this program and will accepting submissions from qualified retail and wholesale insurance brokers.

The program allows various types of trade contractors and new ventures to enter into this business with training programs and contracts available to them for their success. Cleaning operations in all commercial environments will be considered, including but not limited to hospital, nursing homes and other medical environments as well as office buildings, factories, distributors, and factories.

According to National E&S, many commercial contractors are already seeing a drop off in office building and retail construction and are looking for ways to replace that revenue. Examples of target classes include but are not limited to: general contractors, trade contractors, commercial janitorial, pest control/fumigation, asbestos and lead abatement contractors, demolition contractors, property management companies, and any business that currently uses PPE as part of their operations.

Minimum premiums for the COVID-19 Cleaning Coverage Package GL/CPL is $5,000. Minimum premium for monoline CPL is $4,000.

Underwriting criteria includes existing companies operating successfully for 3+ years demonstrating good business and risk management. New venture offshoots of successful business enterprises wishing to set up new entities will be considered.
