Over the past 5 years, over 150 claim denials have been upheld due to “knowledge of Facts or circumstances that a claim could be made”. The basis of course is having knowledge that wrongful acts have taken place that any reasonable person would conclude a claim could or would be made later in the future. Perhaps some AG’s and D.A.’s should take note of what we Insurance People have known to be accurate for so long. I have no sympathy for the Sackler Family, Purdue Pharma, or believe moving $10 billion over 10 years was normal. 400,000 Dead- more than died in WWII.

These gagged-up furballs deserve to stripped of everything they own and sent to prison. Like Madoff, all ill-gotten gains are undeserved by any of them.

Aptly said . . . the land of the free, and the home of the blameless. The Sackler family undoubtedly bears some responsibility, depending on what they knew or how they participated in the abuse of their product(s), but so do the MDs, distributors, users, etc.

Scumbag lawyers only seek the deep pockets, because it helps line their own, but that does not make them the Sackler family the sole bearer of responsibility for this crisis. Heck, you can even include our useless politicians and many others who contributed, indirectly or otherwise, to this crisis.

    Apportion blame and negligence accordingly.
