Fascinating case: Was George Floyd’s death the proximate cause, or was the damage done to each store an event to be assessed on its own merits? What if there are police reports indicating a specific location’s damage was done by opportunistic looters using a peaceful protest as cover?
However it turns out, I call BS on this:
“Nordstrom says in the lawsuit that it suffered at least $25 million in damages to all of its 350 stores in the U.S. and Canada…”
There’s no way every one of these stores in two countries sustained vandalism or other damage in the wake of Floyd’s death.

Of course it did. Covid-1…. er I mean George Floyd impacted all their stores. Honestly.
Can’t wait to hear about the new self-funded insurance program they will be setting up going forward!
