
American International Group, Inc., headquartered in New York, appointed Gordon Browne as global head of specialty, effective June 11. Browne will serve on the international insurance leadership team.
Browne has over 20 years of industry experience in the U.S. and the U.K. He rejoins AIG from Allianz, where he served as global head of specialty since April 2023. During his eight-year tenure at AIG, he held several senior leadership positions, including global head of energy and construction and head of North America specialty. Browne will lead the global strategy to advance the technical expertise and market positioning of the company’s specialty businesses, encompassing global marine, aviation, credit lines, energy and construction.
Abbey New TMPAA Executive Director
Ray Scotto, who has served as the Target Markets Program Administrators Association’s executive director since its inception in 2002, will transition to senior executive and longtime TMPAA member Gene Abbey will become executive director starting June 1. Abbey has been Director of Insurance Services and education since 2023.
Concurrently, Sarah Ayars, who has been with TMPAA for 15 years, will share management responsibilities as the Director of Operations and Marketing.
“Gene and Sarah are perfectly suited to meet these challenges and will continue to advance this amazing organization which I will continue to support in a new capacity,” said Scotto.
