
Rokstone, part of the Aventum Group, appointed Laurence (Larry) Burrows as head of a new US Excess Casualty division.
Burrows has over 15 years of experience specializing in US casualty, latterly as a liability underwriter for Convex for the last four years. Before that, he was a liability underwriter for Apollo Syndicate in 1969 and spent nearly three years with Novae Syndicate as a senior underwriter, where he established its US casualty offering in Lloyd’s.
Mills Hired to Develop Casualty Products at Canopius
Canopius, based in Chicago, appointed Steve Mills as head of casualty in the U.S.

Mills has over 30 years of industry experience. He most recently served as president of excess & surplus (E&S) at MGA start-up Ledgebrook. He previously served as president of E&S at The Hanover Insurance Group and senior vice president, primary casualty division, at IFG Companies. Based in Atlanta, Mills will develop both E&S primary casualty and excess casualty products, to be offered directly to Canopius’ trading partners.
