Big ‘I’ Names Connors ACT Executive Director

The Big “I” appointed Kasey Connors as executive director of the Big “I” Agents Council for Technology (ACT). Connors is a seasoned executive with over 15 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and digital innovation.
ACT provides a forum for agents, carriers, vendors and thought leaders to collaborate on industry technology issues. Stakeholders work to identify challenges, explore solutions and advocate for technology-driven innovation that strengthens the independent agency system.
Connors joined the Big “I” in 2017 and has been the vice president of marketing operations for Trusted Choice® since 2019. She is also an officer with Invest, an education initiative administered by the Big “I” that connects high school and college students to careers in insurance and risk management.
Connors succeeds former ACT Executive Director Chris Cline, who recently transitioned to a new role in the industry.
WTW Makes Senior Appointments to Insurance Consulting and Technology Business

WTW, headquartered in New York City, appointed Scott Van Slyck as senior director of technology sales and Kate Gingras, JD, as director of strategy execution for its Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) business.
Van Slyck joins WTW from software company Semsee. With more than 20 years of leadership experience in enterprise software and Insurtech sales, he has held leadership roles at SunGard, Bolttech, Majesco and InsurePay. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, Van Slyck will be a member of the ICT Americas leadership team.

Gingras has over 20 years of experience working with enterprise software companies and insurance markets around the globe. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Gingras joins the ICT Americas Leadership Team and will work closely with Americas consulting and technology leaders and team members as well as WTW global partners to align strategy, business and operations to further the growth of the ICT business.
