Chubb Appoints Hazelton COO of North America Field Operations

Chubb, headquartered in New York City, named Bill Hazelton as chief operating officer (COO) for North America Field Operations, effective Dec. 1. Hazelton will oversee the delivery of Chubb’s full portfolio of personal and commercial insurance products and services to agent and broker distribution partners and assist in the day-to-day management of North America field operations.
Hazelton has over three decades of industry experience in underwriting, claims and distribution partner management. He most recently served as executive vice president and president of North America Insurance for Everest Group, Ltd. Prior to that, he served more than 18 years with Chubb, holding a variety of roles including head of North America industry practices, head of North America claims and leadership roles in Chubb’s real estate and hospitality and construction industry practices and environmental and excess casualty business units.
Haase to Join Everest as EVP, CEO of Legacy Operations
Everest Group Ltd., headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda, appointed Gary Haase as executive vice president (EVP) and CEO of Legacy Operations, effective Dec. 1.
Haase has over two decades of experience across insurance, reinsurance, and financial services. Most recently, he served as executive advisor to private equity and technology firms. Previously, he was EVP and chief operating officer (COO) at CNA Financial Corporation. Before CNA, Haase spent over a decade with Catalina Holdings (Bermuda) Ltd., rising to group COO, where he led the company’s global run-off and operational strategies across multiple jurisdictions. He began his career in actuarial and reinsurance roles at Quanta U.S. Holdings and Aon Benfield.
