Demex, a technology-enabled reinsurance solution provider headquartered in New York City, promoted Michael Anderson to CEO following four years as chief growth officer. Demex also promoted Matthew Coleman to president, reinsurance from chief risk officer; and Charlie Eadie from executive vice president, strategic partnerships and growth to chief growth officer.
Outgoing CEO Bill Clark will continue to support Demex on the company’s advisory board.
The C-suite appointments mark Demex’s transition from product innovation to commercial expansion, with hundreds of millions of dollars in capacity committed for the upcoming renewal season, and leading ratings agencies indicating they may give credit to cedents. The company is also fielding interest beyond the U.S. and into international markets.
Coalition Hires Frank Fumarola as Chief Product Officer

Coalition, headquartered in San Francisco, California, appointed Frank Fumarola as chief product officer. Fumarola will serve as a member of Coalition’s executive team.
Fumarola joins Coalition from Nubank, where he led a group focused on global platforms and core systems, overseeing the mobile app, customer experience, and global growth infrastructure. Before Nubank, Fumarola was the vice president of ads and shopping product and product marketing at Pinterest.
Everest Appoints Habayeb EVP and Group CFO, Kociancic to Retire

Everest Group Ltd., headquartered in Bermuda, appointed Elias Habayeb executive vice president and group chief financial officer (CFO), to be effective on or about May 1, 2026.
Habayeb succeeds Mark Kociancic, who will retire from the company after five years of service following the Q1 reporting cycle and will remain with Everest as a special advisor through the transition period.
Habayeb has over 30 years of experience leading global finance organizations in the insurance and financial services industries. He most recently served as CFO of Corebridge Financial. He previously held CFO roles at several divisions of American International Group (AIG), including general insurance and life & retirement, where he led the IPO that established Corebridge Financial as an independent company. Earlier in his career, he was CFO of International Lease Finance Corporation, an AIG subsidiary, and a partner in Deloitte & Touche’s Capital Markets Group.
