People Moves: HDI Global US Names Chief Underwriting Officers

HDI Global (HDI) said it has strengthened its underwriting leadership team in the U.S. with the appointments of Bevan Greibesland as chief underwriting officer, specialty lines, and Bruce Griffin as chief underwriting officer, long tail lines.

Greibesland joined HDI in March 2025. She will have responsibility for the company’s specialty lines business, including established segments such as Architects & Engineers, Equine, and Delegated Authority. In addition, she will help drive the expansion of further specialty capabilities in the U.S. market, including Credit & Political Risk and other specialty products already offered through HDI’s global network, such as Aviation, Surety or Mining.

Griffin joined HDI in August 2025 and brings more than three decades of experience in commercial casualty insurance. In his new role he will will focus on building a profitable and sustainable

casualty portfolio across areas including excess casualty, primary casualty, construction, environmental, life sciences, multinational business and cyber.

The appointments follow previously announced leadership and organizational changes at HDI Global US in June 2026. Shadi Albert was named CEO.

HDI Global (HDI) also recently appointed Amy Shinkman as credit and political risk lead at HDI Global US.

Based in Washington, D.C., Shinkman has over 25 years of experience in global credit and political risk underwriting. In her new role, she will lead the development of HDI Global’s credit and political risk business in the U.S., working closely with multilateral, financial institutions, public sector, and broker partners. Most recently, Shinkman served as the vice president of export credit insurance at the Export-Import Bank of the US (EXIM), where she was responsible for the export credit insurance portfolio. Prior to EXIM, she held positions with AIG and Atradius, in both London and Singapore.
