American International Group (AIG) said it has promoted Christopher O’Connor to the role of head of professional liability and cyber, North America.
O’Connor has been with AIG for more than 15 years. He was most recently North America head of corporate accounts for AIG’s professional liability and cyber insurance. Before that, O’Connor led cyber business for financial institutions.
He will now report to Justin Gilmore, head of financial lines, North America.
“With deep expertise across the professional liability and cyber business, a strong understanding of complex client needs, and a proven track record of leadership, Chris is well positioned to lead the organization into its next chapter,” said Gilmore.
Canopius Names Kuchinski US Chief Underwriting Officer
Canopius Group, a leading global specialty and P&C (re)insurer, appointed Greg Kuchinski as U.S. chief underwriting officer (CUO).
Kuchinski will report to Canopius Group CUO Sam Harrison and to incoming Canopius U.S. CEO Nadine Moore, and will join the U.S. executive committee. He joins Canopius on September 9.
Based in New York, Kuchinski joins Canopius with experience across the U.S. P&C and specialty insurance market. Most recently, he served as CUO, North America property at AIG. Earlier roles at AIG included leadership positions spanning retail property, large limits underwriting, energy and engineering risks.
