Chubb Limited named Sean Ringsted as chief scientist and executive vice president, Chubb Group. In this newly created role, Ringsted will focus on and have responsibility for the company’s artificial intelligence, data and analytics strategy and initiatives worldwide.
Ringsted brings more than three decades of experience and a long record of accomplishments at Chubb and its predecessor, ACE Group. His experience spans risk, digital transformation, analytics and actuarial leadership. He most recently served as executive vice president, Chubb Group and chief digital business officer and has led the company’s AI efforts globally.
Ringsted previously served as Chubb’s chief risk officer from 2008 until 2023 and additionally, was named chief digital officer in 2017. Earlier in his career, Ringsted held the roles of chief actuary from 2004 to 2017, executive vice president and chief risk officer for ACE Tempest Re from 2002 to 2004, and senior vice president and chief actuary for ACE Tempest Re from 1998 to 2002. Prior to joining ACE, he was a consultant at Tillinghast-Towers Perrin.
Technical Risk Underwriters Announces Strategic Leadership Promotions
Technical Risk Underwriters (TRU), the Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers’ managing general underwriter specializing in complex first-party risks for the construction industry, made two leadership promotions.
Earlier this year, Nick Hays was promoted to president. Hays joined TRU in 2023 and has been instrumental in shaping the company’s risk management platform. Hays is a former Navy SEAL, Fortune 500 solutions architect, and performance coach for NBA and NFL organizations.
Aaron Reissner was promoted to executive vice president. Reissner has been a part of the team since 2012. He has expertise in course of construction risks and strong industry relationships.
The leadership changes advance a vision for modern construction risk management through the TRU Risk Management Platform. Designed specifically for builder’s risk projects, the technology driven platform provides brokers and their clients and carrier trading partners with greater visibility into project activity, loss control initiatives, site conditions, and emerging risks throughout the construction lifecycle.
