Texas-based managing general agency Combined Agents of America LLC (CAA) announced the election of its new management committee.
The new management committee, elected by CAA’s 28 member companies includes: chairman of the Board-Tom McCorkle, owner of McCorkle Commercial Insurance Agency, San Antonio; president-Bill Russell, founder and president of Bill Russell Insurance Agency Inc., Austin; executive vice president-Kent Hill, Insurance Net Inc., Wharton; second vice president-Ken Gilmore, founder and chairman/CEO of Gilmore Insurance Agency Inc.; secretary-Brent Borgstedte, GBS Insurance Agency Inc., Bellaire; treasurer-Bill Bridges, executive vice president of Duncan, Fraser and Bridges, Pampa.
Previously McCorkle served as president of the Independent Insurance Agents of San Antonio, on the board of the Insurance Publishing House of Texas, and as regional vice president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas.
Russell serves as the chairman of CNA’s Austin Branch PACER, an agency advisory committee, and is a member of CNA’s Global Specialty PACER.
Past president of the group is Jim Whorton, president of Whorton Insurance Services, Austin and Round Rock Insurance, Round Rock. Whorton previously served as president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Austin, as the chairman of property committee and regional vice president of IMPACT for IIAT, and previously chaired CNA’s PACER panel.
McCorkle, Russell and Whorton are all founders of CAA.
