Underwriters Technologies’ proprietary Texas Homeowners Rating System is available free for all agents and carriers at its Web site, www.underwriterstechnologies.com, under the Free Tools link.
The online rater includes a platform providing sales and marketing as well as internal underwriting tools to manage submissions, underwriting and exposures. The rater can be customized for carriers and MGAs to meet their program needs: add endorsements, apply debits and credits, simultaneously compare multiple carrier quotations and most importantly manage and track aggregate limits of a program instantly.
Customized versions of the system include smartquote™, Underwriters’ technology that eliminates the quote and re-quote cycles that most agency CSR have to do to compare a number of different options.
The basic system was developed to provide instant feedback and pre-qualification of risks. By passing only acceptable risks while still capturing the data for all attempted submissions, market demand and supply channels can be readily assessed and analyzed.
All of Underwriters Technologies rating engines are available as Web services via XML over http.
