Houston-based HCC Insurance Holdings Inc. announced the appointment of a new executive management team at the London branch of their largest insurance company subsidiary, Houston Casualty Company.
Nick Hutton-Penman was named the new chief executive and Mike Onslow was promoted to head of Underwriting for property, marine, energy, accident and health lines of business.
Hutton-Penman was fpreviously the director of Group Performance Management with Aviva and prior to that was with St. Paul Re as general manager of their Brussels’ office and European financial controller.
Onslow, who has been with the Company since March 2000, has been an underwriter in the marine and energy market for 25 years and was largely responsible for the overall successful development of the London underwriting operations of Houston Casualty Company.
John Kavanaugh, who has represented the company in various roles for over 25 years and is the current chief executive, is retiring, but will remain an advisor to the company.
