The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) has scheduled a compliance workshop to assist property and casualty insurers and agents in understanding and meeting Texas´ regulatory requirements.
The workshop will be held June 3, 2004, on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. There is no charge for the workshop.
After a general session providing an overview of the 78th Legislative session and a tour of TDI´s Web site, attendees may attend sessions on:
· P/C Rate Filings
· P/C Form Filings
· An Overview of Recent Rules and Bulletins
· P/C Filing Requirements
· SERFF Overview – Question and Answer Session
· Practical Agent Licensing Strategies and Successes
· TDI Complaints Process
· Insurance Fraud Hot Topics
· Financial Hot Topics
TDI staff members from the Property and Casualty; Consumer Protection; Financial; Insurance Fraud; and Life Health and Licensing Programs will make presentations and answer questions at these sessions.
Make plans now to attend the workshop. Seating is limited to the first 200 respondents.

The registration form must be completed by May 26, 2004. The department will fax a confirmation packet with directions from Austin Bergstrom International Airport, and a list of local hotels and restaurants.
