Wm. Rigg Co., based in Fort Worth, Texas, reported that Richard S. Petty has joined the company as vice president.
Petty will focus on creating custom employee benefits packages for businesses and institutions throughout the greater Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, the company said. His responsibilities will also include writing property and casualty insurance for new and existing clients.
Prior to joining Wm. Rig, Petty specialized in long term-care coverage and new business development for the long-term care division of Marketing Group, an insurance brokerage service firm.
Before entering the insurance industry, Petty spent 18 years on staff at Young Life, a non-profit agency committed to changing children’s lives by providing a strong, positive influence.
The Rigg Group is a Texas holding company with interests in insurance, underwriting, brokerage and premium finance.
