Ark. Insurance Commissioner Julie Benafield Bowman will head to various Arkansas communities the third week of September to field questions from insurance consumers, the Arkansas Insurance Department reported.
Commissioner Bowman and members of her staff will hold informal, open meetings in order to respond to general queries about insurance products, sales practices, and any other topic of concern for consumers. She will also meet with insurance producers in most of the communities she will visit.
“I am so happy to be able to have one-on-one conversations with the Arkansas Insurance Department’s constituency,” says Bowman. “I just wish I could be in more than one place at one time.” As part of the Commissioner’s travels, consumer question and answer sessions are scheduled for Bentonville, Fort Smith, Russellville, Hot Springs Village, Texarkana, Pine Bluff, Jonesboro, and Searcy.
The “Commissioner’s Road Show” is a cooperative effort of the Arkansas Insurance Department (AID) and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). September has been proclaimed by Governor Mike Beebe as “Life Insurance Awareness Month” in Arkansas.
