If you live on the side of a volcano, when it blows, 67% of the deaths will be from lava. The rest from running down the mountain, car crashes and heavy, blinding ash. I hope these “experts” didn’t get paid for this study. You could have just asked the people that live below sea level, next to the ocean, who depend on man made concrete, how most of the people died and you wouldn’t have had to pay them a dime. A little air time on TV would have been enough for them. Isn’t that why they live there, so when the next one happens, they can complain?
do you think folks would learn that when they say go, then go! there would not have been so many deaths, if they had left and not tried to stay and save their home. problem nbr 1: that NO was built below sea level, so flooding will occur. you had better had gotten some insurance to recover any losses, including personal items. how many folks actually loss not just the home, but the many memories? fact is that died due to flooding because they did not want to leave. just like saying the previous w/the volcano – same with an earthquake. so, i think this was a waste of time for a report… wonder how much taxpayer money was spent for this?
this is a sad article because many people losat their home probably the only home they know and i feel for all the ones who lost people they really care about.
