The Texas Department of Insurance Division of Workers’ Compensation has set the adjusted annual payroll requirement for the coverage of seasonal workers at $49,127.
The TDI-DWI said the established gross payroll amount will be used in calendar year 2010 to apply against an agricultural employer’s year 2009 gross payroll and to determine whether an agricultural employee is covered under the workers’ comp system.
