As part of its Advanced Insurance Law Seminar, the Insurance Law Section of the State Bar of Texas honored Austin-lawyer Joe K. Longley as the recipient of its 2011 Insurance Legend Award.
This Award is given annually by the Section Council in recognition of lawyers who, by their experience, service and professional ethics have demonstrated outstanding achievements in the development of Insurance Law throughout their legal careers.
In 2000, Texas Lawyer named. Longley to its elite list of 100 Texas Legal Legends and, in 2002, recognized him as its “Number One Go-To Lawyer for Insurance Law” in the State of Texas.
Longley continues his active Austin solo practice where he has served as a former elected-member of the State Bar Board of Directors, and as an Adjunct Professor teaching Insurance Law at the University of Texas School of Law.
