The question I have is who will write these Mexican Truckers? How are they going to pay the premiums? With their drug money in cash? Perhaps a few agents along the border will get rich on this, but they may have a few really bad claims and who will be accountable if there are some? NAFTA should be renamed SHAFTA to America.
First, guns flow from U.S. into Mexico–not the other way around.
Second, the tariffs in place are a response to the U.S. not honoring our side of the NAFTA agreement. With Mexico removing these tariffs, it will help the US with our own employment issues (a GOOD thing).
Third, as long as the premium can accomodate the risk involved this is just an additional market that has opened up for insurance carriers (another GOOD thing).
It’s pretty sad and disheartening to read so many negative, hate-filled comments. There are far more positives in this development, as GetEducated outlined. By the way, people from Mexico drive across the border daily and by the thousands to spend honest dollars. As long as the right security measures are in place, this is easily a net-win for the US. (Now, if only we could export some of the hatred displayed above…now THAT would be progress…and I would chip in to pay any tariffs.)

in another story… The first Mexican truck to enter the US under NAFTA was found to be carrying illegal aliens, drugs and weapons…
…and 10 Arab nationals…

Another Government nail in the American worker’s coffin
