Transportation specialist Barbara Klingman has joined the Dallas office of Swett & Crawford as an underwriter in the Transportation Practice Group. She joins the firm from Deep South Surplus where she managed both new and renewal business.
Klingman began her career at Great American Insurance and moved to USF&G and The Home Insurance where she worked as an umbrella and senior casualty underwriter as well as serving in casualty marketing. When she returned to work in 2007 she focused on building client relationships with agents throughout Texas and responding to their needs, which has led to a renewal retention rate of 86 percent in her book of business.
Klingman is a Cum Laude graduate of Vanderbilt University and has earned her Associate Underwriter designation.
